Sand casting is a method applied based on the principle that molten metal which is prepared in melting furnaces is poured into molds formed by compacting the sand around a model. Different molding methods are used depending on the type and size of the material in the sand casting method. Among these methods, in "green sand molding" the material used is silica sand that’s bonded by water and clay—and best of all, it’s recyclable. The molten metal is poured into the expertly compacted mold. Shake / compression type molding machines are used. The other method is the 'resin sand molding method' using a semi-automatic molding line and air-cured resin.
